You dont have to be rich to give.

That Widom. So big, so shy and so much potential.

Here's my board as mentioned before.
It didn't sell.  Cool event though.

One Degree

up in here

Super cold lately son.

Yeah and some jazzy drove across our lawn. Classic. Like the time when some jazzy TP-ed my car in high school and my jazzy Dad decided to document it. Thank for that. Bad karma is coming back to me. Funny.

Holiday Party last Friday and it was AWESOME! (I guess) A lot of drinking went down.
Here's one and here's another.

If you read Draplin you saw this one: Dude decorates his basement with $10 worth of Sharpie fumes. Pretty cheap minus the labor for a custom look.

Bordo Bello this Friday! This event has turned huge son. I have seen a couple of the boards coming in and there is defiantly some good wood to show. More to come on this.

12/2/09

More Skulls

Bordo Bello is coming up and I turned my board in yesterday. Above is a sneak peak. I chose to do a wood cut technique. Can't wait for the show. Come on down if you are in the Denver area on Friday December 11th.

Welcome Back

RP is back and Im glad.  He requested me to redo the name tag using the old formula which consists of skulladay font and lyrics from coffee. My pleasure son.

Bowling update: League is over and Bow & the Arrows got 2nd to last place, but....  I held the handicap series high the whole season. 512 (2 game score). Sandbagger. What ever that means. 136 average for me so not great... fun though.

Check out section:
Wildlife set. Love this style.
And these bikes are my style part 2
And BORDO BELLO son!  I can't make up my mind on what to do.

Got a couple a days off so stoked for that.

Bordo Bello is coming up in December.  Here's last year's boards.
Pretty excited about this event.  A couple peeps from our studio are participating.

Green Mountain (tumbleweed hill)

We did a little hike yesterday. Max brought his sketch book along. We stopped periodically so dude could sketch some birds and flowers and take some notes. Warm wind. Great day.

Update

Hi there. As usual a lot going on lately.

Max is really getting those 5s dialed.  He is developing at light speed since kindergarden started. Basketball league coming up next month for dude.  Just got our halloween costumes yesterday. Max is going for D. Vader and Miss is going for a kitty. classic.

Bowling league started this week. Team name - Bow & the Arrows.  Shredder and I came up with it. Aaron Bow being the leader of our team.  He's not all the way siked on the name but we love it. Stay tuned for a tshirt graphic.  Gunna get the curve dialed this season.

Confirmed our trip to NYC this week.  We are going in late February.

Art Section:
Check out ARE apparel. Heather's got a good thing going here.  Western snaps plus hoodies plus graffiti plus mentoring equals that is awesome.  Good eye Heather.

Fred Zietz, check his site.  He does sculptures using car parts.  Also see the previous posting of when Max snapped some picts over at his house.

Bordo Bello. Beautiful Board art show coming up.  I will be participating.  My friend Elysia is organizing this.

Somebody graffitied up our Billboard already.  Who does that?  Seriously. Somebody on Alameda and Sheridan thats who. We have received mixed reactions on this one.  I have to warn you the photo is pretty creepy and for the record we don't abuse our children.  For a good cause people, volunteer, donate.  Twas an enlightening experience. Famous. Also see the print ad version in 5280 and Westword.  More picts to come of the boards. The tagged one was taken by the Art Director's cell phone as he drove by in the car.

Hot Wheels is coming out with a Delorean. Max and I have kind of layed off the Hot Wheels, but this may bring us out of retirement. Here's an e b a y sale for a japanese version.  Its hard to find a picture of the US version to come.

Lastly:
Please keep Ryan Hulsey in your thoughts and prayers.

Yes we ARE still doing this

Buenas.
Wow. Yeah we have been extremely booked solid people:

Weddings, 3 weekends in a row.
Congratulations Pat and Mike.
Congratulations Danielle and Jason. Here's the entrance.
Also, added, to our list of services: Wedding Ministerial

Birthday parties, double header today. The above is from the first party. Audrey also took this on the way to the party riding in style. Mom both hands on the wheel at all times! The second party was at "Build a Bear" this evening. Miss loved it, two in a row. Weo and I took it easy today.

Look closely to the neighbor-hood jump. We built an addition to compliment Jordan's kicker and pieced this together.

Here's a cat like move for ya. No reason to panic. Also see the real version.

Sorry for the delay people.

With the grain. With the grain.
Can't fight these big waves code.

Like the ornate cash register, but not some Victorian homes. Contradicting I know.

I have some new sets up to check out:

White Fence Farm. We went there with Mel and the gang last Tuesday.
Kayla and Ryan's Wedding. We went there too.

And Jayj went on a field trip today with Weo. To a raspberry patch. No picts, sorry.

Danielle's wedding is coming up next weekend. Like I said (wedding season son).

Look out for some VOA ads and billboards coming soon. Have the material just not sure about rolling this out yet.

KK's Wedding

Congratulations Kayla and Ryan. Great wedding.

Labor Day Weekend. We went up to Silverthorne Lake Dillion Frisco Area. Summit son. Stayed in a condo over looking Lake Dillon. Thank you so much for having us. Max and I got a couple of sessions in. (and of course some bike riding). Above is from the Peninsula and we also went to Silverthorne. It couldn't be more confusing up there with suburbs of summit. Nice cool weather though. We could have sold tickets to the fireworx show off our balcony Saturday night. So nice. We had to wake up the kids as they were shootin em off a boat pri 200 yards away.

Coming up we have brandi carlile at Mishawaka. Thats right.

And Kay Kay's wedding is coming up. Danielle too. Wedding season son. Holler:

at least a carat!

Widem Rides!

So last Friday after work (and school) Max decided he was ready. Get my bike down he says. It was crazy how he did it. Not one fall. Just started peddling. Realized I wasn't holding on. Done. Been riding ever sense. Be careful what you ask for type a thing.

Recent scooter confidence lead to the bike confidence.

Also got some new ones under the park set. O yeah ya.

Every Day Turns Night

Hi.
Been so freakin busy at work lately. Need freelancers... bad. know any?

Went to the concert last weekend at Red Rocks.  Pretty nice. I feel old. Aesop fulfilled my expectations. Big event and good to see dude in a big setting. "Night Light" was a good one for me. Right before that we did the homeless photo shoot. Big Time. Fam Fame. Update coming soon.

Catch us at Cat Power this weekend. Should be a little more relaxing.

Last day of kid work today. Max starts Kindergarden on Monday!!! like whoa. I think he is ready for this one but not sure about his mom.

Here ya go:
Jesse sent in this one a while back and I still sing it every morn. careful.
And on the subject of basketball (one of the best), here's two of my favorite things: classic.

Booooom! Son.

So. Last weekend was the Annual. This event has been hosted by Von for a strong 10 years now. Man I'm getting old. Started out on Friday with the golf round. Shredder and I combined for a 78 and came in feeling pretty good about that until we found out that Trevy and Marshal shot 76. 2nd place thou wasn't bad. South Suburban was in great shape. The greens were tough and I had one breaking bird that I could have end the season on. Moved on to cabin and horseshoes. So fun. Thanks Jesse. 5 chair. Booom!

Tomorrow is "ditch day" at integer so Shredder and I will be slashin at Clemet. Don't get it twisted, this is a summer event hosted by the employer that just happens to be at a park where we can rip. Of course there will be kick ball, flip cup, and a beer trailer to boot.

Today I learned that Cat Power will be coming to the Botanical Gardens with the Pretenders. I always promised myself that would go see her if I got the chance so Jen and I are pursuing that. Also on the concert calendar is Atmosphere at Red Rocks. Love Atmosphere, but love my boy Aesop more and he's going too. Actually the line up is rather money all around. Living for the openers these days CP & AR. Big time shows son. Aes comes to CO and I will not miss it....SON!

Neighbor's hoop update: Fred told me today to bring the broken pole over and he would get it welded sooner rather that later. Yeah, that was right before his wife may have went into labor (also today). We were going to fix it a couple of weeks ago until a storm created about 2 solid weeks of work for the dude. Got to get that thing fixed so I can rest easy. Or I could end up with the classic tattoo. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. If you didn't already know I demoed the hoop while trimming the gigantic tree in the front yard last year.

11 more days of "kid work" left for Max.... for ev ver. Then its off to Kindergarden! Like I said getting old son. He is counting down the days and poor miss won't know what to do without her bro.

8/4/09

Mr Photo

Here's from Fred's house. More to come about the annual and all. A little behind right now.

7/26/09

6 years and lots a cars

So last time we left off in the middle of a tornado or something like that. We had a couple branches come down and maybe a couple hail dents, but nothing major. Yesterday we had a contractor come look at our roof. Can't complain though when you see carnage like this. My buddy Fred had around 5 monstrous trees come down on his property. Luckly no one was hurt. Max and I spent yesterday over there helping with trips to the dump and cleaning up. Weo found his love for photography and snapped of around 300 photos.  Stay tuned for links to some of Max's picts... such good content over at Fred's house with sculptures and old cars.

Plus last night we got around 1.5 inches of rain. Right around the average annual rainfall for Denver. I had to get the pail out again and bailout our back porch. Crazy weather. Great summer so far.

Today we went to Buffalo Bill Days in Golden.  Great car show so Weo was siked and Mr. Photographer was at it again with the camera. Great material. Also stay tuned (gotta sort through these). We did some carnie rides.  Max maned up to the "mount rushmore" bouncy castle slide.  Way proud of him on this one and way sad that camera was dead. Dude wore it out with 300 yesterday and the 120 today. But anyway this was one where you cross your arms and legs and lean back. Dude climbed right up without hesitation and bombed down. Then he got up and did it again, without hesitation. On the last one he went head over heals at the end and the carnie wonders.. you alright dude? and dude was like..."Wooooo".  So fun to be 5.

Golf Update:
- 47 last friday with the integer am league. Shredder and I played with Moyers (vp)
- "the annual" round is coming up and Jesse has named it 2 man teams "best ball" (play your ball all the way through, take the best score from each hole for the team) Should be a great time with around 20 people signed up.  stay tuned.

Apologies for the lack of links but look for some big sets early this week.

Love me some Street Art

6 years today. Love you Brady!! So much.

Staycation

Vacation at home is complete and we ripped it:

On the way to waterworld Thursday we saw:

1. A truck that had pulled over under an underpass on I25. The mattress on the rack was slightly on fire on one corner and dude was mysteriously out of the truck on the other side and acted like he didn't even know that thee mattress was on fire?!
2. A car completely charred on the side of the road on I25? All the way black son... abandoned.

Brewery Tour on Friday. Coors? Yep, weird but good to get some outsiders' perspective waiting in line for the tour bus. Met some great travelers as you would expect. Free tour and you can zip on through to the sampling section if you like. Jen had yet to see it and we needed to check out Golden anyway.

Home on Saturday with the cats. We went to the park early. Thank you Lakewood for your play area and garden. Then chilled around the house. Once Jen got home it was off to Shredders for some BBQ and some washers.

Holy cow there is an insane hail storm going on right now! Kinda freaking me out.

And on that note (with the notes of sirens in the background and the ice chunk I collected melting on my desk) I'm signing out.

Update

Golf update:
Integer Golf Outing last Thursday - 4 under. I think 8 under won it. We defiantly had our opportunities. Birdied the first 2 holes. One chick on my team would get excited if she even hit the ball?! Big softball player states "at least I didn't fan it". She "fanned it" about 30 times before making contact on the first tee, but also make the longest birdie putt all day! wild. As always good party after the round. Last night Shredder and I played a twilight round at Foothills Executive. Par 31 shot a 38 and felt pretty good about that except the multiple 3 putts. Twilight light is getting shorter, but I plan on playing a couple more Integer mornings so stay tuned. And THE ANNUAL golf outing is coming up so that is the next biggest event of the year and maybe the last. I'm working with Jesse on the format. stay tuned.

Jen Booked update:
Had 5 haircuts today but it has been either slammed or dead. All or nothing. Come back economy, we love you. Lets make ethical sustainable decisions people and get your mop looking tight with Jay Joe.

Weo & Miss update:
On vacation this week as "kid work" is on vaca. Nanner's is here on Tuesday / Wednesday and we are off Thursday / Friday so planning on water world later this week. stay tuned, those jazzies are out of hand.

Biked to Work Update:
3 for 3 this week with 2 days off.
Recently upgraded bars, brakes, grips and seat so last week the bike was under construction.

Art Update:
Wood Computer Desk art for arts sake

Post Dramatic

Last weekend was a whirl wind. Driving on holiday weekends puts me over the edge. 3 wrecks total witnessed round trip. Had a great time in BV though. Played golf on Saturday at the home course. Shot 42, best round this year. And I get to play in the Integer Golf Outing on thursday due to a drop out, so that should be a great party...scramble format.

Here's some fireworks and parade picts from last weekend.

...and one outdoor haircut

4th o July coming up and guess where were headed? yep "Beunie".  Looking to visit with family this weekend. Maybe some golf, fireworks, and skating to be had. Got off early today and Max has been rippin up the Mario Cart since we got home.  The wii is now connected to the internet so any challengers out there let us know.

Zuke on the seat

We made it home from cousin camp today. Max puked in the car, however he did manage to complete a new decepticon in about 5 minutes (2 hour drive and ask "nar papa" that thing was not instant, see the zuke seat?) Glad to be home. Jen and I went to the condo on Saturday to visit and then headed up BV today to pick up the campers. We always take a picture of the deadville area. Miss did awesome in her debut at CC. Heres the rest of what we have.

Shot an 96 in the tourney on Friday, so not great with that 8 on the last hole.

Cousin Camp in Session

So.....Nate out in S. Korea thinks my grammar sucks and that I need to do a little work on the blog. And ya know...he's right. So, going forward I'm going to work on making this a little more informative and structured, but I can not promise anything when it comes to english and grammar so bear with me Dr. Will E. Waint, professor of teaching english to the world. ya jazzay.

Cousin Camp is in full swing. Not sure how many years we have been doing this, but this event is growing by the year. The stories have already been coming in from Weo. He's been at it since Sunday. Miss left today. stay tuned.

Winslow + Clark

What a fun time and great group of peeps. Congratulations Casey and Katie and thanks for including us on your special day.

Here is a couple of our picts from the wedding.

Fort Collins brought back a lot of memories for Jan and I. Went around CSU, Old Town and by a couple of the old cribs. Tried out the new Aztlan park where the 6 ft used to be. Every little corner was a session waiting to be had plus great overall flow. Good vibe to, thanks FC, Lakewood has something to learn...like more parks son. (sorry guys my camera was dead at this point)

Speaking of skating here is a couple of picts from the by by ramp party. Sold the thing to Brian "pressure sale". Dude sells the most comcast on earth via walmart. Good luck to Matt & Brian with that thing and don't worry Max well will be back in business when you are ready to thrash.

Hi and welcome to the blog of 12.buck

Tomorrow's Friday, T.G. Got the Windslow BBQ and Wedding this weekend. Also last soccer game for the jazzies on Saturday. Should be good, "then we get our trophy!" The picture above is Max warming up before a recent game. Max and Audrey both played soccer this season and Miss is ready for her trophy. Wait until you see this. Catch us driving back and forth to FC this weekend and bringing it back to the old stomping grounds.
